歐盟EDPS認為生物識別資料用於打擊非法移民和人口販運應謹慎並建立審查機制

歐盟執委會(European Commission, EC)於2023年11月28日提出「打擊非法移民和人口販運草案」(Proposal for a REGULATIONOF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OFTHE COUNCIL on enhancing police cooperationin relation to the prevention, detection andinvestigation of migrant smuggling andtrafficking in human beings, and on enhancingEuropol's support to preventing and combatingsuch crimes and amending Regulation (EU)2016/794，以下簡稱草案)，主要內容包含：加強打擊非法移民和人口販運的跨機構合作；加強歐盟層級機關間打擊非法移民和人口販運的指揮和調度；增加有關打擊非法移民和人口販運的資訊分享；強化會員國預防及打擊非法移民和人口販運的資源；透過歐洲刑警組織(European Union Agency for LawEnforcement Cooperation)的部署，加強歐洲刑警組織在預防及打擊非法移民和人口販運的作用。
