This study analyzed the equity and resource allocation of four types of long-term care (LTC) service institutions provided under the LTC Act. The study first used the Lorenz Curve and Gini Coefficient to explore the equity of different types of LTC institutions, and then assessed the allocation of LTC resources using the LTC institutions fitness ratios by county. The results showed that the Lorenz Curve and Gini Coefficient of different types of l LTC institutions showed a decreasing trend year by year, indicating that the allocation of LTC institutions in each county is becoming more and more equitable. Finally, although the number of LTC institutions has been increasing year by year, with the accelerated aging of the population, the resources of LTC institutions per elderly person will not increase significantly between 2021 and 2023. |
