本研究旨在從《茶金》電視劇與小說中重新探討「四萬換一塊」的新舊臺幣政策及其可能存在的政治操弄。該情節是《茶金》中一個引人注目的片段，背後牽涉著臺灣經濟轉型與政治變革的重要議題。將透過對劇情的深入分析，探討當時臺幣政策的制定和實施，以及政治如何在其中發揮一定作用。小說劇情描述，中美雙方在會議上爭辯時，袁副院長拿出事先準備好的「幣制改革方案」給美方官員，決定以四萬元臺幣換一塊錢，約翰領事聽到後拍桌怒罵：「新貨幣這件事，我美國政府堅決反對!電視劇劇情描述，在會議爭辯時，美方提出四萬新臺幣換一美元，袁副院長聽完拍桌怒罵：「新貨幣」這件事，我中華民國堅決反對！

最後，提出結論，總結研究後到分析與成果，並對《茶金》所反映的歷史事件進行評價。透過這份論文，希望能夠提供對當時臺灣經濟政策和政治現象的深入理解，並為未來的相關研究提供啟發。

This study aims to re-examine the ''Four Ten-Thousand to One Dollar'' policy and the potential political manipulation behind it in the TV drama and novel ''The Tea Money.'' This plotline constitutes a notable segment in ''The Tea Money,'' involving crucial issues of Taiwan's economic transition and political change. Through an in-depth analysis of the storyline, the formulation and implementation of the currency policy at that time will be explored, along with how politics played a role in it. In the novel's plot, during a meeting where both Chinese and American officials argue, Vice Premier Yuan presents a pre-prepared ''currency reform plan'' to the American officials, proposing an exchange rate of four ten-thousand Taiwanese dollars to one US dollar. Consul John, upon hearing this, angrily protests: ''The new currency, my government strongly opposes it!'' In the TV drama, during a similar debate, the American side suggests an exchange rate of four ten-thousand new Taiwanese dollars to one US dollar, leading Vice Premier Yuan to slam the table and declare: ''The new currency!'' My Republic of China strongly opposes it!
Firstly, by reviewing relevant literature, the historical background and implications behind the ''Four Ten-Thousand to One Dollar'' policy will be introduced. Secondly, through comparing the old and new Taiwanese currency policies, their impacts on Taiwan's economy and society will be analyzed. Subsequently, the study will explore how politics influenced the formulation and execution of the Taiwanese currency policy, and whether there are traces of political manipulation behind the ''Four Ten-Thousand to One Dollar'' policy.
Finally, conclusions will be drawn, summarizing the research findings and analysis, and evaluating the historical events reflected in ''The Tea Money.'' Through this paper, it is hoped to provide a deeper understanding of Taiwan's economic policies and political phenomena at that time and inspire future related research.
