以文獻計量探討近半世紀之資訊圖像研究發展

Applying Bibliometric Analysis to Developmental Trajectory and Trend of Infographics Studies in the Past Half a Century

資訊圖像是資訊視覺化的敘事媒介，能有效提昇人們於訊息的傳達、理解及接受，故透過其研究成果的系統性回顧，進而形塑其整體知識之結構，成為一具深究價值之議題。目前文獻綜述之資訊圖像研究多屬質性的主觀評論，以客觀量化角度探討相對少見，故本研究運用文獻計量的方法，針對WoS和Scopus數據庫所收錄1975至2021年的資訊圖像相關論文，以文獻指標統計及關鍵詞的共詞分析等方式，進行完整的全面探討，結論茲歸納如下：（1）資訊圖像的文獻產出可分為：1975-2006年的發展萌芽期、2007-2014年的快速發展期、2015-2021年的高產活躍期等三個階段；（2）從文獻的引用統計，資訊圖像的重要刊物包含了：British Journal of Sports Medicine、Journal of Visual Literacy、Business Communication Quarterly和Journal of The American Medical Informatics Association等期刊；（3）資訊圖像研究共涵蓋了五個範疇，初期著重於可視化圖形的生成檢索、及人機互動資訊圖像的議題探討，隨後從傳播媒介的面向、擴展至教育學習的應用，近年在醫療與健康領域亦有諸多跨域的結合。相關成果除作為資訊圖像及文獻計量後續探討之基礎，亦可供傳媒、教學、衛教等跨域應用之參酌。

Infographic is a visual medium conveying information through an intuitive and interesting presentation in order to enhance people's communication, understanding and acceptance of information. As a fast-growing issues in the fields of information design and visual communication design, infographic has been explored by various researchers, resulting a massive publication of rich literatures. Instead of subjective review of qualitative analysis in previous studies, this study aimed to conduct a systematic review of academic publication listing in WoS and Scopus since 1975 to 2021, and to use a bibliometric approach to shape the overall knowledge structure and to master the emerging trend of infographic issues. Through the data statistics for bibliometric indicators and co-citation analysis, the three questions would be clarified: 1) the history of infographic academic studies can be divided into: initial phrase (1975-2006), development phrase (2007-2014), and active phrase (2015-2021). 2) based on the citation statistics, the important academic journals of infographics include: British Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of Visual Literacy, Business Communication Quarterly, and Journal of The American Medical Informatics Association. 3) five research themes of infographics was classified into: visualization and retrieval of information, human computer interfaces interaction, communication medias, education and learning, and medical and health. Overall, the findings could provide a reference for further study of bibliometrics and infographic, and enable related designer to enhance the application of infographics with diversity.
