Governments globally actively promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption due to climate and environmental concerns. Leveraging information visualization technology, this study analyzes Taiwan's doctoral dissertations on EVs. Utilizing electric vehicle-related keywords in the knowledge value-added system, data is collected, and VOSviewer is employed for co-citation and emergent word analysis, providing insights into correlations and developmental trends in the EV field. The following conclusions were drawn:Firstly, over the past 20 years, research in the field of electric vehicles has steadily increased, reflecting a sustained interest in the subject. Variations in the number of papers in different years suggest that specific years saw more related research, possibly linked to global events and trends. Secondly, key research areas were identified, including the electric vehicle industry, battery technology, energy management strategies, hybrid powertrains, machine learning, and digital signal processing technology. Further keyword analysis highlighted four major research areas, emphasizing the importance of these topics. Finally, through trend analysis, it was found that future research trends will include ''data mining,'' ''machine learning,'' and ''energy management systems,'' indicating that data analysis, intelligent technology, and energy efficiency will be important directions in electric vehicle research. In conclusion, this study provides valuable insights for a better understanding of the development trends and directions in the field of electric vehicles, benefiting both academia and industry in future research and innovation efforts. |
