Sikkim Himalayas – The Megadiversity Centre of Pedicularis L. in India

在喜馬拉雅地區馬先蒿屬植物的調查中，顯示本屬植物在錫金喜馬拉雅地區物種相當豐富密集而且具有極高的物種多樣性。印度之83種馬先蒿屬植物中，在錫金喜馬拉雅地區就有49種（約占59%），而且其中34種（約占41%）為本地區之特有種。因此我們可以說錫金喜馬拉雅地區是馬先蒿屬植物在印度之超級多樣性中心。

Investigations on the Himalayan genus Pedicularis L. revealed rich concentration and enormous diversity of species in the Sikkim Himalayas. Out of the 83 Indian species of Pedicularis, 49 species (ca. 59%) are found in the Sikkim Himalayas and 34 species (ca. 41%) are endemic. The Sikkim Himalayas may therefore be designated as the ‘megadiversity centre’ of Pedicularis L. in India.
