This study is a summary of the teaching practice of ''Labor Dispute Settlement'' (henceforth referred to as this course), a required course for National Chung Cheng University's Department of Labor Relations third-year undergraduates. This course aims to document how to plan for students of the Department of Labor Relations and to improve the teaching contents and the learning effectiveness of the students through the building and development of customized curriculum and teaching materials. This course has combined the ''Introduction to Labor Law'' and ''Labor Standards Act'' courses, which are obligatory for second-year majors, with the ''Labor Union Act'' course, which is an elective for third-year co-majors, to make a basic labor law course. The ''Introduction to Labor Law'' course focuses on the fundamental theory and general principles of labor law, whereas the ''Labor Standards Act'' and ''Labor Union Act'' courses emphasize the content of specific legal regulations. The objective of this course is to give students with an awareness of the existing methods and legal system for resolving labor disputes in Taiwan through classroom lectures and literature studies. Through case background explanation, factual analysis, group discussion, and opinion presentation, students will learn about the most common types of labor disputes in Taiwan and be guided to analyze the causes and nature of labor disputes in order to improve their ability to observe and analyze labor dispute cases. In short, the author's teaching objective is to enhance the learning effectiveness of the students in this course through the customization of the curriculum and the development and construction of the teaching materials, as well as to cultivate the students' basic ability to observe the overall situation of labor-management disputes and to analyze the legal relationship between the parties in labor-management disputes. |
