Due to the rapid development of emerging technologies, interior design education needs to cultivate students with the technological skills required for the future. To explore the application of innovative curriculum utilizing Virtual Reality (VR) in assisting interior design education, can it enhance students' interest in contextual learning and evolve the communication and expression within interior design? This study introduces an innovative VR teaching mode into the instruction of the mandatory course ''Interior Design VII,'' guiding students in cognitive learning and application of software modeling, while showcasing design outcomes through a 360-degree panoramic view. The research involves a total of 22 senior students from our university. Utilizing an evaluative case study approach for analysis, the research reaches the following findings: (1) By applying VR technology, the teaching process adopts a multidimensional interactive approach, aligning with the trends of personalized and technology-driven learning. (2) The uniqueness of VR enhances contextual interest. (3) The innovative VR curriculum enriches advanced learning outcomes. (4) VR has the advantage of enhancing the problem-solving ability of interior design professionals. |
