A 43-year-old male patient has a history of hypertension and diabetes. Despite regular medication, his medical checkup indicators deviated from norm.. On 2019/04/22, his medial shin at the right calf presented red and swollen and he had local pain and a fever of 39°C. A rheumatism immunity department diagnosed cellulitis. He took Augmentin for a week, yet the range of redness and swelling continued to expand gradually, accompanied by intermittent fever. He was accordingly hospitalized on 2019/04/29. It had been two months since the patient sought help from a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctor, with an unhealed wound, redness, swelling, hot and pressing pain and dark purple surrounding skin. After treatment with a concentrated powder of Chinese medicine regime and acupuncture, the redness and swelling subsided, pain was relieved and the wound healed. |
