Since Western scholars established the theory of transformational leadership (TL), a large number of studies have found that TL is positively correlated with subordinate individual variables, organizational and social-oriented variables. There are also many local related studies on TL in Taiwan. It is worth further using the meta-analysis method to explore the relationship between TL and variables at all levels in order to obtain clearer conclusions. This study focused on 27 quantitative empirical studies from TSSCI journals on transformational leadership in Taiwan published between 2006 and 2021. The relationships between TL and the variables were calculated using the meta-analysis method adopted by Rosenthal (1991). The results indicated that effect sizes of the individual, organizational and social-oriented were 0.361, 0.299, and 0.314, revealing that TL are positively correlated with all the three levels variables. Last, according to research results, the study provided suggestions for management practices and further research. |
