The paper aims to provide a perspective on the emerging role that China is pursuing in the international arena since the Russia–Ukraine war - a peace broker. On 24th February 2022, Russia launched a“special military operation”against Ukraine, the scope of which was not clear, but it was called to defend the Russian–controlled territories in Eastern Ukraine–the Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic. |
