Nurses are indispensable members of the healthcare system. With the development of the aging population trend in society, the demand for healthcare services has gradually increased, and nurses play a crucial role in the treatment, recovery, and health education of patients. This article aims to explore how to enhance the professional competence and literacy of nurses, and proposes specific strategies to cultivate nursing professional competence in nursing students and practicing nurses. It is essential to emphasize the accumulation of nursing professional knowledge and practical experience. Through continuous learning and practice, nurses can proficiently grasp fundamental nursing theories and clinical nursing skills. Additionally, continuous education and training are key factors in improving the professional competence of nurses. On the other hand, nurses need to enhance their professional competence in areas such as communication skills and interpersonal relationships, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, as well as leadership and management skills. Good communication skills, empathy, and teamwork capabilities can help nurses establish effective communication with patients and their families and provide comprehensive nursing care. By proposing strategies and recommendations to develop nursing professional competence and literacy, it is hoped that the quality of nurses and the healthcare standards can be enhanced. However, nurses may face various challenges in the pursuit of professional competence and literacy. It is recommended that nurses continuously engage in learning, professional development, and teamwork to enhance their capabilities and meet the demands of patients and the healthcare system for high-quality nursing care. |
