Launching the Key Talent Cultivation and Recruitment Program, to harness talent as a driver of industrial growth

近年來，數位科技已為驅動產業轉型升級關鍵，加上因美中貿易戰與武漢肺炎疫情，造成全球經濟劇烈變動，加速產業供應鏈重組，進而帶動臺商回臺投資熱潮，引發對人才的殷切需求，同時國際間競逐人才亦愈趨激烈。

As the worldwide trend of digital transformation gathers pace, the employment of talent with digital skills and key knowledge will be vital for Taiwan to play a key role in the post-pandemic world's economic development. To grasp opportunities from the reorganization of global industrial supply chains and raise Taiwan's international prominence, we must do our utmost to cultivate and recruit an ample supply of domestic and foreign talent needed by industry.
Hence, the government has formulated the Key Talent Cultivation and Recruitment Program（2021-2024）, setting out mechanisms for joint efforts by industry, government, academia and research institutions to carry out three main lines of strategy for cultivating domestic digital talent, recruiting key international talent, and deepening bilingual capability and international perspective, as means of making Taiwan into a hub of talent that serves to propel our industrial growth and raise our national competitiveness.
