自2000年以來，台灣規模最大的全球招商計畫，在經建會主導下，8月23日於台北展開第一波的行動。經建會協調各部會全力動員，提出高達新台幣4,300億元的投資項目。北中南東5場說明會，共吸引來自本國及美、日、德等25個國家，近2,000位人士，計600餘家機構與會。

Taiwan's largest global investment promotion initiative since 2000 kicked off in Taipei, under the coordination of the Council for Economic Planning and Development (CEPD), on August 23. The CEPD led the mobilization of resources of other ministries and commissions, and proposed a set of investments totaling NT$430 billion. Five Investment Promot ion Meet ings were held in northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan, attracting near 2,000 participants f rom over 600 organizat ions in 25 countries including the United States, Japan, and Germany.
