During cadastral surveying work, electronic total stations play a significant role, as they are required for angle and distance observations in major tasks such as control surveying, boundary surveying, and assisting people in boundary identification. The observation data in early field surveys was recorded manually and then inputted into a computer for calculations after being organized in the office. Errors such as misreading, mispronunciation, mishearing, incorrect writing, or input errors often occurred during the observation process, resulting in measurement errors. In order to prevent errors caused by human negligence and to save time on manual field recording and data entry, the National Land Surveying and Mapping Center of the Ministry of the Interior actively promotes the Automated Survey System for field surveying. The system provides real-time data recording, calculation, verification, and point display during field surveying, which improves efficiency, reduces the likelihood of errors, and guarantees error-free measurement results, thereby protecting the people's rights and interests of land and property. |
