Taiwan's juvenile corrections system has undergone much development since being officially established during the Japanese colonial era along with the necessary legal provisions. In this research I examine the related documents and discuss the various phases Taiwan's juvenile corrections system has gone through since the 1950s, from reformatories to correctional institutions to correctional schools, focusing on the transfer of juveniles out of the correctional school system, following up on them, and their ability to adapt to a new learning environment. The findings are expected to serve as a useful reference for carrying out additional restructuring in the future. |
