A COMPARISON OF QUADRATURE RULES

积分计算是数学上古老问题之一，至今已有许多数值方法来求值，其错误估计也随之发展。但由于方法及估计方式不尽相同，更由于应用到计算机方面的机器限制（如四舍五入等之错误），所得之结果也不完全如预期。在本文中，将以计算机程序来比较不同方法对各类积分函数之有效性，并由于其其所需运算比较其所需的时间，进而发展出一决定树。

In this paper， we shall develop different numerical methods to evaluate a finite integral and then write computer programs to compare the efficiency of these methods. By the comparisons and analyses of these results， we can construct a decision tree for deciding which rule to use for a particular integrand.
