論中國上古音的 *-i̯wəng, *-i̯wək and *-i̯wəg

ARCHAIC CHINESE *-i̯wəng, *-i̯wək AND *-i̯wəg

Form the study of the riming system in shi-king, and hie-sheng system, we found a group of words having in Ancient Chinese finals -iuk,-iau, but rinming with words having an Archaic -ǝ- (*-ǝng, *-iǝng, *- ǝk, *-iǝk, *-ag, *-iǝg,etc.) As Ancietn Chinese has no -iwǝng, and inspite of some cases of -iwǝk and -wi, I concluded that these finals must, go back to Arch. *iwang, *-iwank, and *-iwag against Prof. Karlgren’s *-iung, *-iuk and *-iug (cf.
