Improving the quality of clinical care is a key mission and goal of medical professionals, and quality indicators are particularly crucial tools for achieving this objective. Regularly monitoring quality indicators is an efficient and effective method for managing the quality of medical care. The accuracy of indicator data influences the evaluation of subsequent indicators and the formulation and implementation of subsequent improvement plans. This study analyzed the group hospitals of a medical center that is based in Central Taiwan and adopted a pay-for-performance model. During the research period, a cross-institutional cooperation and sharing model was adopted to guide cooperative hospitals in establishing a consistent reporting mechanism for various indicators, completing indicator summaries, and undergoing indicator audits to improve data collection. The results revealed that an index reporting completion rate of 100% was achieved for 2 consecutive years, 168 indicator summaries were completed, and the rate of abnormal index cases decreased from 20.8% to 0%. This study can serve as a reference for medical institutions to improve the accuracy of their index data collection. |
