The purposes of this study are to understand the approaches adopted by the Taiwanese scholars to research on China’s multilateral diplomacy, major characteristics of research results, and the linkages with the international academic society. The scope of analysis is limited to research publications after 2012. Then the authors will analyze theoretical and policy linkages between Taiwanese scholars and international academic societies on the macro aspects of Chinese multilateralism. The fourth part of this paper will utilize cases such as ASEAN , AIIB, and BRI to demonstrate the major research findings of Taiwanese scholars on the micro aspects of Chinese multilateralism. The concluding remarks provide suggestions for future research agenda for Taiwanese academic society on China’s multilateral diplomacy. |
