英文摘要 |
This article described the nursing experience of caring a newborn with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). Systematic physical assessment, Neonatal Withdrawal Score Scale (NASS), and direct care were used to collect information. The health problems identified included chaotic baby behavior, diarrhea, and family instability. The NAS hospitalization and supportive care were provided to lessen the discomfort of chaotic behavior and diarrhea. The neonate was abandoned soon after birth as the mother fled from the hospital to avoid going to prison. Combined resources from multiple divisions were needed. To provide quality nursing care for such a complicated patient, keen assessment and timely intervention are required. |
