This paper interprets Lei Zhen(雷震)'s memoir 'My School Days' by quoting 'nostalgia' as a sociological technique and Yin Hai-kuang(殷海光)'s concepts of 'cultural tradition' and ' acculturation '. As a result, in his memoir ' My School Days,' Lei Zhen clarified the characteristics of Japanese society that he experienced and understood when studying in Japan, namely, Japanese cultural tradition permeated with western modern freedom, democracy, human rights, scientific rationalism and other elements, and agreed with the ' acculturation 'of Japanese society gradually into a ' Gesellschaft Society'. In addition, 'My School Days' also pointed out that because of the negative 'cultural tradition' of Japanese arrogance and disdain, Chinese students studying in Japan had been insulted or despised. |
