Introduction of Special Issue in 'Trends of Thought of Liberalism and Democracy'

殷海光基金會結合學界於2019年9月舉辦紀念殷海光先生誕生100週年國際研討會，會中發表的一部分論文集結出版此專號。正如林正弘教授指出的，殷海光運用思辨邏輯，堅持自由思想，針砭時政，「言人之所不敢言，言人之所不能言」，以理念為根基，長期促成民主政治的實踐。專號共四篇論文分別由陳弱水教授、陳瑞麟教授、顏厥安教授與工藤貴正教授撰寫，闡釋殷海光與同時代自由民主思潮的意義。

In September 2019, the Yin Hai-Guang Foundation held an international conference to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Professor Yin Hai-Guang's birth, and four of the papers presented at the symposium were published in this special issue. As Professor Lin Zhenghong pointed out, Yin Hai-Guang uses academic logic, adheres to liberalism, criticizes current politics, 'says what others dare not say and what others are not able to say', takes ideas as the foundation, and promotes the practice of democracy. Papers published in this issue explore the significance of thinking of Yin Hai-Guang and his contemporary liberalists.
