Endometrial cancer is one of the most common gynecologic cancers, with a rising incidence worldwide. It was estimated that 417,000 women were diagnosed, and 97,300 women died of this disease in 2020. According to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO), the lymph node metastasis status of patients with endometrial cancer is critical for the assignment of the patient’s pathological stage, guiding adjuvant treatment, and evaluating prognosis. The 5-year overall survival rate of patients with either pelvic lymph node metastasis or para-aortic lymph node metastasis is roughly 57-66%. In this paper, we report a patient with FIGO stage IIIC1 disease who was found to have para-aortic lymph node recurrence with serious complications after the completion of adjuvant therapy. |
