Few studies have focused on the corporate social responsibilities of (CSRs) Taiwanesemedical institutions, especially hospitals. We evaluated the association of CSR with thefinancial performance of a hospital releasing regular CSR reports and exhibiting optimal socialresponsibility effectiveness in recent years.Data on valid financial effectiveness and social responsibility from 2009 to 2020 (12 years)were collected through convenience sampling at a medical center in Northern Taiwan. The yearlyreports were collected from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan. This study used a time-series model to verify the cross-correlation between the yearlyfinancial effectiveness and social responsibility. Data analysis revealed that the yearly socialresponsibility was affected by the financial effectiveness factor (previous debt ratio).Optimal financial effectiveness and CSR may form a cycle of positive feedback in hospitalgovernance, thereby positively affecting the employees’ perception of the hospital's core value andreducing the risk of hospital management. |
