"Anthracnose of cruciferous vegetables caused by Colletotrichum higginsianum was increasingly observed in organic farms in Taiwan. The pathogen also induces necrotic lesions on the leaves of Lindernia antipoda. The causal pathogen could survive in many weed species creating unprecedented challenges for disease management. This article discusses the anthracnose symptoms, the causal pathogen, diagnosis, and management strategies. Application of several plant-based extracts could prevent and reduce the disease." |
