台灣氣候溫暖潮濕，大面積栽種的十字花科蔬菜極易發生病蟲害，尤其在不施用化學藥劑的有機栽培田，其栽種的白菜、油菜及芥菜等葉片更容易發生炭疽病。

"Anthracnose of cruciferous vegetables caused by Colletotrichum higginsianum was increasingly observed in organic farms in Taiwan. The pathogen also induces necrotic lesions on the leaves of Lindernia antipoda. The causal pathogen could survive in many weed species creating unprecedented challenges for disease management. This article discusses the anthracnose symptoms, the causal pathogen, diagnosis, and management strategies. Application of several plant-based extracts could prevent and reduce the disease."
