茄子產量與南方根瘤線蟲（Meloidogyne incognita）根瘤數量之關係與受感染根部細胞變化之情形

The relationship between eggplant yield and number of galls caused by Meloidogyne incognita and cellular alterations of the infested roots

本文研究田間茄子（Solanum melongena L.）產量（y）與南方根瘤線蟲（Meloidogyne incognita）根瘤數量（x）之關係。茄子生育期感染根瘤的數量和茄子產量呈現負相關（r = -0.72），其迴歸方程式為y = 721.9-36.1x，決定係數（r^2）為0.52。茄子根部感染南方根瘤線蟲對根部細胞的影響，則是增大及增多，進而形成巨大細胞群。位於根部外層的卵塊（egg masses）乃南方根瘤線蟲繁殖的證據，於感染根部組織切片中，可清晰見到南方根瘤線蟲的三至四齡幼蟲與成蟲。

"Meloidogyne incognita could cause severe damage on eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). Estimation of eggplant crop losses due to root-knot nematode in the tropics ranged from 17-60%. However, little information on the relationship between eggplant yield losses and population density of M. incognita is available. Some trials indicated that plant damage tolerance limit of M. incognita on eggplant was about 54 juveniles per 1 kg soil."
