"Experimental education is one of the important initiatives in Taiwan's recent schooling innovation and improvement. The author investigates the existed experimental education studies as the target to analyze, and identifies keywords such as experimental education, alternative education, and school/non-school type innovation to screen the objects. With that, there are 124 journal papers and 135 degree thesis contributing to the total of 259 empirical studies as the analysis objects. We have collected and analyzed the above studies, and categorizes six major aspects: research motivation and purpose, types of the experimental education, research object and scope, research materials and methods, time allocation of the related publications, and the themes/ideas of the education as the analysis framework. In summary, there are some suggestions for future research: 1. Review the implementation of experimental education policies and develop local experimental education image; 2. Implement a model of exploring student consulting needs and develop operational support; 3. Analyze the background theories related to experimental education, guide the development of theory and support practice; 4. Comment on the failure experience of experimental education development, and understand its transformation and changing history; 5. Analyze the future of experimental education and acknowledge future teacher training indicators; 6. Expand different research objects and aspects, and integrate the breadth of policy implementation; and 7. Integrate appropriate research methods, without favoring specific research methods." |
