The purpose of this study is to develop a Chinese reading comprehension diagnostic test for elementary students in Macao. The test assessed students' ability of literal comprehension, content comprehension, inferential comprehension, summarization and self-questioning. The norm was established based on 761 students for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. The test had undergone expert validity verifications. All scores had undergone internal consistency reliability test. The norm and the cut-off scores were developed according to the results. More results, analyses, and suggestions have given in the paper. |
