Higher Education Programs for Assisting Disadvantaged Students: International Experiences and Reflections

高等教育一向被視為是社會發展與個人社會流動的重要基石，弱勢學生就讀高等教育的機會也因此格外重要，政府對於擴大弱勢學生高等教育的參與率頗為重視，為有效瞭解高等教育弱勢扶助的有效作法，本文分析加拿大、美國、澳洲對高等教育弱勢扶助的作法，整理其可參考處，供我國高等教育弱勢扶助的參考。

"Higher education is considered as the important foundation for social development and individual social mobility. Expanding access to higher education for disadvantaged students is therefore an important task for government. Increasing higher education participation for disadvantaged students is highly emphasized. This paper examines higher education disadvantaged student assistance program in Taiwan, Canada, Australia, and United States of America. Policy implications are discussed for improving assistance for disadvantaged students in Taiwan higher education."
