"To prevent the importation of infectious diseases by migrant workers affecting the health of the population, all legally imported workers are required to submit a health certificate issued by an authorized foreign hospital before applying for an entry visa. They are also required to undergo health examination at a designated hospital within 3 working days after entry and within 30 days before or after the days of 6, 18 and 30 months of the employment permit effective date in order to ensure their health condition. The designated items of health examination for migrant workers in 2020 include chest X-ray examination for tuberculosis, examination for Hansen’s disease, serological test for syphilis, stool examination for intestinal parasites, and physical examination. In addition, either proof of positive antibody or vaccination certificate for measles and rubella is required in the health examination conducted in the authorized hospitals." |
