"Exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation is an essential component of care plans for heart failure patients. Numerous studies have proven that it could reduce re-hospitalization and mortality rate, and improve quality of life and functional capacity. However, heart failure related references are enormous and mostly delved into a single topic. For the novices in exercise therapy for heart failure, they may not see the forest for the trees. The purpose of the article is to provide a whole picture of the process including the treatment goals in different stages, identifying exercise limitation from parameters of cardiopulmonary tests, decision making of exercise therapy implement and how to prescribe exercise therapy, respectively. We look forward to applying more exercise therapy for heart failure patients and achieve a more comprehensive care." |
