Traditional seismic retrofitting methods often affect the regular operation of buildings and require considerable time during the retrofit process. Thus, it is challenging’ to carry out retrofitting work in private houses. This research aims to develop new seismic retrofitting methods for existing reinforced concrete structures using highstrength fiber resin mortar. This approach can effectively improve the performance of seismic retrofitting methods, and its expected strength can be achieved within two weeks. It has a minimal impact during installation and therefore does not affect the existing functions of the building. It is particularly applicable to hospitals, commercial buildings, and private residences. In this study, different kinds of seismic retrofitting methods were tested at the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering laboratory. The experimental specimens were tested using horizontal cyclic loading to compare the seismic behavior of the different seismic retrofitting methods. The study uses popular seismic assessment methods for each test and compares them with our experimental results. |
