冷水萃取液法測定紙質文物pH值精確度的研究

Investigation of the Accuracy of pH Measurements on Ancient Paper Using the Cold Water Extraction Method

由於紙質文物在保存過程中易受材料本身性質以及外界環境酸性物質影響從而發生不同程度的酸化現象。其酸化程度通常以pH值來度量。本文採用冷水萃取液法測定紙張酸度，並研究紙張纖維對H+/OH-離子的吸收和釋放作用以及H+/OH-的遷移對紙質文物pH值測定規律的影響，實驗結果發現運用冷水萃取液法測定紙張酸度具有相當的可靠性。

Ancient papers are more vulnerable during preservation processes due to the intrinsic properties of the material itself and the impact of the external acid environment. As a result, they acquire different degrees of acidification. To evaluate the acidification it is usual to measure its pH value. In this paper, the cold water extraction method was used to acertain the paper’s acidity, the absorption or release of H+/ OH- ions from the paper fibers, and the impact of their migration on the pH value measured. Based on the experimental results, the cold water extraction method has a certain reliability for measuring paper acidity.
