The Value Construction for Cultural Heritage

從文化資產常常面臨搶救的困境，就表示文化資產還不是社會想像中的價值，也就不斷地需要被爭取、論述、搶救，因此就需深入思考如何營造文化資產價值，並成為社會的發展動力。透過論述來談出文化資產價值包含諸如種種稀少性、能使異時空的心靈得到交會與感動者、承載著能激發多元思考的在地知識與智慧者、可資為多元文化的歷史見證者、具有邁向永恆潛力者等等內涵；透過關係連結如社會利益連結、道德連結、智慧連結、與認同連結等來論證文化資產足以滿足各種社會行動者的需要；及透過社會工程的價值建構來進行種種文化資產價值的論述、概念、意識、思想等的社會實踐與具體化到人們的身體與行動中。當人們及各個地方都以擁有文化資產為榮時，文化資產的價值就營造出來了。

Cultural heritages have not been viewed in terms of their social values yet, since people usually need to rescue the cultural heritages by efforts. Therefore, we need to consider ways to construct the value of cultural heritage which will be the driving mechanism of social development. Statically, the values of cultural heritage include rarity, emotional and aesthetic, local knowledge, historical testimony, and potential eternality. Dynamically, cultural heritage will meet the multiple needs of variant social actors through social connections, moral connections, wisdom connections, and identity connections. Finally, we need to practice the ideas and values of cultural heritage in daily life through social engineering. As soon as people become proud of their cultural heritage, the values of cultural heritage will be enhanced.
