This dissertation is mainly discussing the interface between Tanizaki's ”Yanagiyunoziken” and Siga's ”Nigottaatama”. Tanizaki produced a lot of detective fiction during the Taisho period to the Syouwa period. When coming to the relationship between Tanizaki and other detective writers' works, mostly the studies concentrated on the relation with the American author, Edgar Allan Poe. The main reason was due to that Tanizaki had mentioned the name of Edgar Allan Poe's fiction in his writing. Thus, many researchers deemed it an important reference resource to discuss in the history of research. It's also a clue if we want to probe into the influence of Allan Poe's work s on Tanizaki's fictions. In fact, Siga's ”Nigottaatama” contains lots of novel factors, which reflect on Tanizaki's ”Yanagiyunoziken” directly or indirectly, according to the investigation. Though the character design and express style in two fictions are very similar, there's seldom mentioned in the history of research. Reviewing Tanizaki's later statement, there's no other mention of Siga's work.In the way to research, I will interpret these two fictions by text reading. Thro ugh the essential of ”Siga” appeared in Tanizaki's fiction, there will be a possible way to find out the essence of the real problem existing in Tanizaki and Siga's creative writing style. |
