This research is to reveal the essential elements of religious practice in Taiwan through a folk religious practice believer's story. By the rhetorical description and her dreaming visions, we found her piety come from her feeling logics of her dream percepts. Two sources of feeling logics: one is the embodiment of dream feelings, the other is her fabricated mythical language. Both constitute a gnostic system which goes between concepts and perception, neither as cocept nor as perception. Thus we call this realm ”humanity space of body”, it operates on the ground of bodily emotions via dreaming visions, and then open up the mythical framework and forms a upside down hermeneutic world. The world, we call it the other-world, for just a little coincidence with reality, the most part of the world is full of dreaming visions and myths. The practical believer devoded herself in this world and developed a life scripts to follow. Thus we argue that the percepts that lead to the other-world is the basic operational platform for folk believers. |
