This study examined posts inappropriate for children and teenagers and the associated Likes, Shares and Comments on one of the most influential public media in Taiwan-Apple Daily's Facebook. Researchers first crawled all posts (N=2,953) between 2013 and 2017 using Facebook API tool and then randomly selected 150 posts for further analyses. The selected posts were analyzed and classified according to RSACi rating scale which was modified for this study. The results indicated that one-third of the posts contained inappropriate content. Specifically, ''Nudity'' was the most common type. Also, interactivity levels including likes and shares were significantly higher when ''Nudity'' content was present. In addition, a moderator variable (year) had a statistically significant impact on ''Nudity'' content. Potential influences and suggestions are discussed. |
