Purpose: To explore users' behavioral intention and satisfaction toward the adopting of electronic health medical records. Method: Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), we applied a structured questionnaire with 5 points Likert scale to survey the constructs of ''performance expectancy'', ''effort expectancy'', ''social influence'', ''behav-ioral intention'', and ''use satisfaction''. A total number of 197 questionnaire responses were collected from August 5th to August 30th, 2019 and verified four hypotheses by the struc-tural equation modeling. Result: We found that gender, position, professional title, system usage years, and department would affect the social influence; age, position, title, service experience, system usage years, and department would affect the intention to use; and system usage years would also affect satisfaction to use. The constructs of ''performance expectancy'', ''effort expectancy'', ''social influence'' had positive effects on ''behavioral intention'' (β=1.51, P<0.01; β=-1.48, P<0.01; β=0.66, P<0.01); The construct of ''behavioral intention'' had a positive effect on ''satis-faction to use'' (β=0.75、P<0.01). Conclusion: The constructs of ''performance expectancy'', ''effort expectancy'', and ''social influence'' all have positive effects on ''intention to use''. Among them the construct of social influence is a more significant one on intention to use and satisfaction toward new system. Management leadership takes top down approach to ensure the success of adopting of electronic health medical records APP, uses multi-discipline corporations to increase the efficiency, and department representatives to influence on colleagues on reaching the goal. |
