In this study, a companion robot system for older adults was developed, and 18 older adults from an elderly care center inCentral Taiwan were recruited. Based on the results, the participants thought that the system would improve their lives and that theywere willing to immerse themselves in the use of the system. However, it was difficult to use. They held different opinions on itsperceived ease of use. The older the participants were, the less their perceived ease of use was. The main reason for this might havebeen the fact that these older adults were not good at speaking Chinese and English, and that they were also hard of hearing. |
