鏡象中的動物世界——陳致元寓言繪本中的敘事模式與主題意蘊

The Animal Worlds in Mirror Image:Narrative Patterns and Thematic Meanings in Chen Chi-yuan's Fable Picture Books

陳致元（1975-）台灣屏東縣人，是位國際知名繪本作家，曾榮獲美國、瑞典、義大利、日本等童書及繪本獎項。他的繪本故事有二系列，一是各自獨立互不相屬的單獨故事；二是系列故事，以米米作為親子教育的主角人物。其中，無論是單行本或系列故事，皆大量運用動物作為故事主角。刻意以擬人化的動物故事作為基底，創發一個個雋永有味的寓言故事引人入勝，這是陳致元繪本故事的特色之一，也是他創作的元素，不容忽視。本文擬透過這些動物寓言故事，分析敘事手法及深藏的主題義理，昭揭其所要表述的意蘊。論述理序，一、論陳致元繪本採用的寓言手法與敘事模式，揭示其敘寫視角採多元變化，有單一、雙視角、無明顯視點人物之敘寫，視點多元流轉使故事精采可觀；再者，寓言敘寫方式豁顯意義者，以「以彼喻此」方式透示動物寓言之多元形構技巧。二、論其所要示現主題意蘊，主要出自人性的愛與包容，展示不同的主題內容、恢復本真等意蘊。三、論如何破譯寓言潛藏背後的寓意，有「言內意」、「言外意」／「說明式」、「體悟式」等表述手法之殊異；最後歸結陳致元繪本特色與風格。

Through the animal fables in Chen Chi-yuan's picture books, this paper analyzes the narrative techniques and the hidden thematic meanings to reveal the implications.In order of preference, I discuss the allegorical techniques and narrative patterns in Chen Chi-yuan's picture books to reveal the multiple variations, including single, dual-viewpoint, and unobtrusive character narratives. The multiple flow of viewpoints makes the stories brilliant and highlighted. Furthermore, in the way of ''using the other as a metaphor'', the allegorical narrative style reveals the polymorphic structure skills of animal fables. Moreover, the thematic implications are love and tolerance of human nature, various topics and contents, and the resumption of authenticity. In addition, by different expression ways, ''meaning within words'' and ''meaning outside words'' / ''explanatory style'' and ''comprehensive style'', to discuss on how to decipher the hidden meanings of fables. In summary, the characteristics and styles of Chen Chi-yuan's picture books are come up with a final review.
