The purpose of this project was to improve the accuracy of self-care performance in patients undergoing total knee replacement and increase their satisfaction level toward nursing care. Nowadays, with the advancement of information technology, its application in health care becomes more and more popular. Our project aimed to create a multimedia nursing guidance system for patients undergoing artificial knee joint replacement to improve accuracy of patients' self-care performance. This particular information system used interactive multimedia teaching technology. Through live videos and image interaction, patients could click on the contents they need to learn freely. It enhanced patients' interests and improved outcomes of learning to achieve the goal of patient-centered continuous care, providing care instructions before surgery and after returning home. After the project was implemented, it was found that accuracy of self-care performance increased up to 90% and the average score of satisfactory toward nursing guidance increased to 4.88. The results demonstrated that this system significantly improved patients' self-care ability and increased satisfaction toward nursing guidance. |
