1877年愛迪生成功地製造出第一部得以記錄並回放聲音的機器,開啟了音聲紀錄的歷史。至今140多年來,音聲紀錄產業在世界各國的科學家與發明家的研發下,伴隨材料與技術的演進,不斷發明創作出當代獨具特色的音聲紀錄載體與機器,滿足人們對音聲紀錄的期待與需求。本文運用科工館館藏品及收藏家的私人收藏物件,進行音聲紀錄科技發展歷程初探研究,概要介紹一百多年來,音聲紀錄相關發明之起源與科技運用。並以國立科學工藝博物館2018年4月所舉辦的「片片記憶、帶帶相傳~音聲記錄」藏品展為例,藉由相關物件之蒐羅與研究,將其成果透過博物館與私人收藏家之藏品展示合作,從觀看真實且具科技發展歷史軌跡之珍稀物件,並透過導覽解說以了解音聲紀錄科技演進過程與發明運用。同時也藉由展演、講座活動的樂曲播放,讓觀眾聽見百年前的樂聲及聆賞臺灣早期已散佚或絕版的臺灣歌謠;再輔以網路及社群媒體運用,讓老物件、老靈魂與大眾於空中相會,讓科普教育與文化交流無遠弗屆。
In 1877, Thomas Edison successfully created the first machine capable of recording and playing back sound, which was the beginning of the sound recording history. For over 140 years, with the inventions by scientists and inventors from all over the world amid the evolution of materials and technology, the contemporary sound recording industry has made continuous inventions and creations of unique sound recording media and machines to meet our expectations and needs of sound recording. A preliminary study on the development of sound recording technology was conducted by using the collections of the National Science and Technology Museum and private collectors, which organized and introduced the origin and technological application of inventions related to sound recording in more than 100 years. Taking the 'Store and Keep Memories:Collections of Sound Recordings' Exhibition at the National Science and Technology Museum held in April 2018 as an example, the achievements of the collection and research of related objects will be exhibited by the museum in collaboration with private collectors. Trace the sound recording historical footprint by viewing the actual and rare objects, and comprehend the technological evolution and application of sound recording technology. In addition, audiences can listen to the music from a century ago and Taiwanese old songs in the early days that have been scattered or been out of print via music demonstration and lectures. Share antique objects and widely spread on the internet to promoted popular science and cultural exchanges without boundaries.
