Restraint Glove-Save Nursing Time, Convenience and Safety

約束係一種暫時性的護理措施，用以預防病人自拔管路或中斷治療。然而，約束的使用也可能造成潛在性危害，例如：身心損傷、花費護理工時及成本。本創新方案將傳統的約束用品進行改良，明顯改善病人約束時的安全和舒適、節省護理工時、提高病人家屬及護理人員對約束的滿意度。此作品已獲得中華民國新型專利認證並完成技術移轉，值得推廣使用。

The use of restraint is a temporary nursing intervention to ensure that intravenous lines ormedical tubes will not be removed by patients. However, restraint may potentially cause someconsequences, such as physical or psychological harm, waste of nursing hours and cost. The purposeof this was to modify the traditional wrist restraints in order to reduce the time-consumingprocess, and increase patients'safety as well as their families and nurses'satisfaction in the intensivecare unit. The project is not only improved the quality of patient care, it also enhanced thesatisfaction of nurses and patients'families. Because, the restraint gloves had both patent certificationand technological transfer in the Republic of China, it is worth popularizing this project.
