This article is a deconstruction of the story of oppressed juvenile delinquents. It employs Nandy psychobiography. The article highlights the subjectivity of youngsters. The author believes that narrating stories of bullying is part of the process of reconstructing a life story. The culture of bullying in corrective schools replicates a colonial model. The victims eventually encounter dispossession. Hopefully, adolescence can reinforce the strength of ego and identity of the victims. This can help them escape entrenched disadvantages. Through carrying out acts of goodness and mercy and the opportunity to meet significant others, youngsters may be able to escape from a vicious cycle of hate crimes and have a better future. |
