宇宙乃一充滿普遍生命大化流衍的創化歷程，易經之生存進化哲學可歸納為「生生之謂易」、「天地之大德曰生」之「萬有含生論」，即「生生之德」。「易」之涵義有「創易」、「變易」、「交易」、「不易」、「簡易」五義。 易經之生存進化哲學乃「乾坤並建」，化生萬物，經緯萬有，變化雖無窮，然有常而不紊，乃周而復始，循環往復之「圓道周流」，但並非機械式的一成不變的周而復始，而是在循環往復中同時的發展與前進，即萬有大化之流衍乃循著「螺旋進化」的軌跡而發展，此「圓道周流」之「循環史觀」乃易經生命哲學之主要思想。

Yi includes the concepts of creation, · change, exchange, unchanged and easiness. The philosophy of the existence and evolution in !-Ching is the co-existence of the heaven and earth and the endless living of every life, which changes constantly but regularly and in order. The concept of going round and beginning again in the circular path is not a mechanically unchanged repetition, but continuously circular development and moving forward. This means that the world of change develops along the track of the screwing evolution. The circular historical view in this concept is the main tenet of the life philosophy in 1-Ching.
