The timetables construction of mass rapid transit system is to use the existing vehicle facilities of rails, station location and control system to generate a suitable time table for ATC (automatic train control) and the relevant vehicle and staff. The purpose of our research is to extend Jau-ming Su's study ofthe timetables construction on the single line and single depot in mass rapid transit system to the multiline and multidepot. The multiline environment needs to consider conflicts of vehicles occurrence in different lines at junction points and the multidepot should consider vehicles from a depot entering master line, while the multidepot capacity confinement of individual depot, the balance oloperation vehicles and the increase or decrease of vehicles when peak hours transler to off-peak so that these causes have substantially increased the complication and difficulties for the analysis. Therefore, our study integrates Heuristic Algorithms of strategy oloperation vehicles and mathematical planning model of adjusting conflict of vehicles to develop the timetables construction analytic process of mass rapid transit network. This study has been implemented in Tamshui, Chungho and Hsintien Line in Taipei, and the result shows that through the analysis process it not only creates a suitable timetable but also will help to solve timetables construction of mass rapid transit in every city in the future. |
