The Diabetic Foot Syndrome (DFS) is a disease of the lo wer extremities caused by poor long-term glycemic control. It has a serious impact on the morbidity and mortality of diabetic patients and leads to a variety of foot complications. These lesions will cause abnormalities in the sensation, movement and circulation of the foot and will also produce infections in the wound due to failure to heal, which may evolve into ulcers and necrosis, and even amputation in severe cases. In view of this, this review will further discuss the causes, symptoms, complications, risks, and prevention of dia betic foot syndrome, so that diabetic patients can understand the causes and prevention, as well as plan t heir daily routine, diet, and exercise. This allows the patient to effectively control the complications when they arise and to take the best opportunity to treat them, thus reducing the risk of experiencing the diabetic foot syndrome. |
