This research addresses network flow analysis by considering individual tripmaker decision-making processes and their interactions in traffic networks under advanced information and control systems. In order to properly capture the dynamic effect of information, this research aims at formally defining simulationassignment models and associated functional requirements, and introducing DYNASMART. Numerical experiments based on the Austin City network are conducted to investigate dynamic effect of real-time information. Computationalresults on CRAY YMP are also presented in this paper to il1ustrate the possible real-time applications. |
