The purpose of this article is to view the aftermath of Typhoon Morakot through the practical approach of humanistic care of Taoist philosophy by analyzing the going into the outlying villages, assisting the reconstruction of women's economic autonomy after the disaster, improving local identity and achieving social responsibility. Based on this, this study takes the women and children affected by Morakot as a case sample and adopts the ''participation observation method'' to (1) understand the healing process of women after Typhoon Morakot; (2) explore the preliminary results of economic autonomy of women and children following Typhoon Morakot and (3) discuss the challenges that women and children of Typhoon Morakot may face on the road to reconstruction. The study found four aspects ''walking in key decisions'', '' smooth flow of life '', ''sight-seeing wisdom'', and ''internal and external dialectical practice'', and the individual cases are embodied in the mind and practice. At the same time, it was found that the Taoist philosophy of the humanities can provide spiritual settlement and practical direction. In the continuation of responsibilities, more professional cooperation is needed to achieve perfection. Other disciplines still have the necessity to participate in the social responsibility of this university. |
